✽  Why campaign teams switch vendors

Your apparel vendor cannot become the bottleneck.

July through October is not the time to chase three vendors, wait for a callback, or guess what 500 shirts will cost. The same problems repeat every cycle.

1

Multiple vendors, multiple invoices

A campaign that needs rally tees, embroidered hats, donor tumblers, and recognition plaques today coordinates three to four separate vendors. One order, one invoice, one production schedule is the operational edge that saves finance directors a week of time.

2

Pricing hidden behind phone calls

Most political merch vendors require a sales call to get volume pricing. Campaigns searching Google at 10pm on a Sunday need to see numbers without talking to a rep. We show transparent unit pricing at 100, 500, and 1,000+ units — online, immediately.

3

Last-minute timelines require clarity

Polling moves, momentum builds, and suddenly the team needs 800 shirts in 10 days. Vendors who can't confirm rush eligibility quickly are a liability. We confirm rush feasibility within hours of submission — before payment, before commitment.

Two account tiers. Both self-serve.

Standard

  • Priority queue access during surge season (July–October)
  • Same self-serve quote flow — verification happens in the background

Verification is a manual back-end review. You submit your FEC or state ID at account creation and receive confirmation within 1 business day.

✽ How It Works

From artwork to production in six steps.

1

Upload artwork

Submit campaign logo, wordmark, or design files in vector (AI, EPS, PDF) or high-resolution PNG. We flag print-readiness issues upfront.

2

Choose product & quantity

Select garment type, decoration method, colorway, and quantity tier. Mix products in one order. Pricing updates as you configure.

3

Review pricing

See exact per-unit and total pricing before you commit. No hidden setup fees. No surprise charges. What the quote shows is what you pay.

4

Confirm rush eligibility

If your timeline is tight, our team confirms rush availability within hours of submission — before payment, before commitment.

5

Approve proof

Review your digital proof, confirm color and placement. Production begins the business day after proof approval.

6

Production & shipping

Produced at our US facility. You receive shipment tracking and a final delivery confirmation. All shipped from a single US address.

Our Role

Teeshirt Guys and Lumina Print are domestic production vendors for political campaigns, PACs, and advocacy organizations. We produce apparel, headwear, drinkware, and recognition pieces. We do not provide legal advice, FEC compliance guidance, or coordination between candidates and committees. We are a print shop, not a compliance firm.

Buyer's Responsibility

Buyers are responsible for all FEC, state, and IRS disclosures on printed materials. Disclaimers on flat printed items — banners, posters, fine-art prints, and large-format products — are the buyer's responsibility. The required FEC "Paid for by [committee]" line must be included in your artwork before submission. Apparel and hats are explicitly exempt from FEC disclaimer requirements per FEC regulations.

Flat-print Disclaimer Note

Banners, posters, and flat printed items up to 24×36 that qualify as public political advertising may require a FEC "Paid for by [committee]" disclaimer box, minimum 12pt, color-contrasted. Include this in your artwork before upload. The upload form includes a required checkbox confirming the disclaimer is present. We do not catch missing disclaimers on your behalf — the artwork submission step does.

Vendor Neutrality

Teeshirt Guys is candidate-agnostic and party-agnostic by design. We serve campaigns, PACs, Super PACs, 501(c)(4) organizations, unions, and labor orgs of all kinds. We have no partisan criteria. The buyer brings the artwork, the name, and the slogan. This is the same model operated by Unionwear and RushOrderTees. Both sides buy from us.

On union-bug production — an honest disclosure

Lumina Print is US-made and operates as a domestic production facility. We are not currently a union shop and do not carry a union bug. If a union bug is a hard requirement for your organization — as it is for many Democratic-aligned and labor organizations — we are not the right vendor for that specific need. We recommend Unionwear (Newark, NJ) for headwear and union-certified apparel, and Image Pointe for broader union-made apparel. Recommending the right vendor for a job we cannot do is more useful to you than a workaround that costs your organization credibility. If and when Lumina pursues union certification, this disclosure will update accordingly.

Questions campaign teams ask us most often.

Yes. The entire quote flow is self-serve. Upload artwork, select products, configure quantity, and submit — no sales rep required. Pricing is visible online at 100, 500, and 1,000+ units before you start. A phone call is never required to get a quote or begin an order.

No. We do not produce coroplast or yard signs. Our focus is apparel, headwear, drinkware, and recognition pieces. If your program distributes yard signs, the closest companion products we produce are tees, sticker sheets (Phase 2), and button packs that share the same visual system — consistent event presence without the product we don't make.

Rush eligibility depends on current production capacity and order complexity. Verified Committee accounts have access to the 5–7 business day production tier. Submit a quote and we confirm rush availability within hours — before you pay, before you commit. We do not promise timelines we cannot meet.

No. We are candidate-agnostic and party-agnostic by design. We serve Republican campaigns, Democratic campaigns, third-party campaigns, PACs, Super PACs, 501(c)(4)s, unions, and advocacy organizations of all kinds. We have no partisan criteria. The buyer brings the artwork, slogan, and candidate name.

No. We are a production vendor. We do not provide legal or FEC compliance guidance. Buyers are responsible for all required disclosures on their printed materials. For apparel and hats, FEC disclaimer requirements do not apply per FEC regulations. For flat-print items (posters, banners, fine-art prints), the buyer must include the required "Paid for by [committee]" disclaimer in their artwork before submission.

Yes. We serve federal campaign committees, state campaign committees, federal PACs, Super PACs, state PACs, 501(c)(4) issue advocacy organizations, unions, and labor organizations. Account creation includes an organization-type field and an optional FEC ID or state filing ID field that speeds up invoicing and unlocks the Verified Committee tier.

No. Lumina Print is US-made but is not currently a union shop. We do not carry a union bug. If union certification is required, we recommend Unionwear (Newark, NJ) for headwear and Image Pointe for apparel. This is an honest disclosure — not a workaround. See the union disclosure section above for the full note.

Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are preferred for all embroidery and large-scale print work. High-resolution PNG (300 DPI minimum, transparent background) is accepted for DTG and DTF. For flat-print items (posters, fine-art prints), include the FEC disclaimer in your artwork file before uploading. We flag print-readiness issues before production and do not start until artwork is approved.

Apparel: 100 units for standard pricing. Budget tees are best priced at 250+. Headwear: 100 units. Drinkware: 50 units. Recognition pieces (plaques, metal panels): 10 units. Donor bundles: available at the quantities listed in the bundles section. There is no upper limit — surge orders scale to 2,000+ units.

Yes — we can print or embroider any text you provide, including paid-for-by lines on apparel. Determining what disclosures are legally required is your legal team's responsibility. We produce what you specify. FEC regulations do not require disclaimers on apparel or hats, but if your legal team directs you to include text, we accommodate it.

At account creation, provide your FEC ID or state filing ID. Our team verifies within 1 business day. Verified status unlocks the 5–7 business day rush production tier and tiered volume discounts at 500, 1,000, and 2,000+ unit thresholds. Verification is manual on our end — no extra steps required from you after submission.

We are a production vendor, not a design agency. We require production-ready artwork from your team. If your files need minor prep for printing (color separation, trapping), we handle that as part of the process and flag it before proceeding. For artwork direction, our design system archetypes are available as starting points — see the Design Systems section.
